Brothers Matthew & Wesley Westerfield grew up in the country of North Christian County, Kentucky, where they developed a passion for working outside, rather than aiming for a career behind a desk - their career paths were chosen from there.

The brothers graduated from Murray State University with bachelors degrees in Civil Engineering and Education (in Mathematics), respectively, and immediately put both to work.  Matthew began work for a national construction management firm, based in Nashville, Tennessee, that specializes in multi-million dollar healthcare facility construction.  Wesley began teaching in the Christian County School System.  But even then, they were aiming for the right opportunity to put their passions to work for each other.

After a time in those positions, the brothers went to work together with a local general contractor to develop further experience in local/regional construction projects and small business management.  A few years later, the brothers created Westerfield Builders, Inc. and began making appearances in the local contracting market.  The WBI business model is simple: Be honest.  Be professional.  Be competitive.  The projects they have been hired to oversee have met with great success, fantastic finished products and very satisfied customers.  Along the way, both Matt & Wes have made names for themselves as trustworthy businessmen who aim for quality, dependability and accountability.  As a result, WBI stands far above so many other “contractors” who prey on unwitting customers in need.

Today, Matt & Wes continue daily involvement in the management of the company and still carry a great deal of the workload on the work sites to keep a consistent eye on the quality of the product that WBI is putting forth.  The company now operates on a regional scale with recent and upcoming projects throughout much of Western Kentucky.
